James M. Russo

Mr. Russo founded Altrius Capital Management in 1997 and serves as Chief Investment Strategist. Prior to launching Altrius, Mr. Russo served as a Naval Aviator in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Russo is the host of the weekly radio program, the Economic Zone, on Port City Radio 93.7 FM and 106.3 FM in Wilmington, North Carolina. Mr. Russo received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the United States Naval Academy, was captain of the Academy’s boxing team and named a two-time NCBA All-American.

Tara L. Hughes, CPA, CGMA

Ms. Hughes is an Executive Vice President and Senior Analyst at Altrius Capital Management. With a deep background in accounting, Ms. Hughes is responsible for completing a wide variety of research and analysis critical to the firm’s investment management process and portfolio construction. Prior to joining Altrius in 2010, Ms. Hughes was responsible for financial reporting as an Accounting Director at Carteret General Hospital for six years. Ms. Hughes is a CPA and member of the North Carolina Association of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Ms. Hughes received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Finance from West Virginia University Institute of Technology.

Allison T. Coward

Ms. Coward is a Vice President and Analyst at Altrius Capital Management and is responsible for supporting the firm’s investment management efforts through research and analysis activities. Prior to joining Altrius in 2011, Ms. Coward worked at Symmetry Financial as a client services associate. Ms. Coward received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics from the University of Idaho, and earned a Master of Science in Accountancy from East Carolina University. Ms. Coward is actively engaged in the completion of her Certified Public Accountant designation.

Zachary Q. Smith

Mr. Smith is a Vice President and Research Analyst at Altrius Capital Management. At Altrius, Mr. Smith is a member of the Investment Committee and is responsible for conducting fundamental research, security analysis, and portfolio monitoring. Prior to joining Altrius in 2011, Mr. Smith received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in finance from American University, and earned a Master of Science in Political Theory from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Rita Hendrick-Smith

Ms. Hendrick-Smith is the Director of Operations with Altrius responsible for account and compliance administration. Prior to joining Altrius in 2001, she spent seven years with the Federal Government and seventeen years with Eastman Kodak in varied customer-oriented positions including purchasing, accounts payable, credit/collections and leasing.

Loriann Harker

Ms. Harker the Director of Performance Accounting at Altrius responsible for client reporting and account administration. Prior to joining the firm in 2005, she served in various financial and operational positions beginning her career in New York City with David Lerner Associates. Ms. Harker attended Florida Southern College and is an investment advisor representative having qualified for the Series 66 Uniformed Investment Advisor – Combined State Laws Exam.
