James M. Russo
Founder / Chief Investment Strategist
James M. Russo is the founder and Chief Investment Strategist of Altrius Capital Management, which he founded in 1997. He has been the portfolio manager for each of the firm’s equity strategies since their inception. Mr. Russo has published a book on the firm’s value-driven, income-focused investment process titled “Invest Like an Aardvark”. Mr. Russo received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the United States Naval Academy, was captain of the Academy’s boxing team and named a two-time NCBA All-American. Upon graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1991, Mr. Russo served as a Naval Aviator in the United States Marine Corps for eight years until leaving the service honorably at the rank of Captain.
Andrea L. Aitken
Chief Compliance Officer
Ms. Aitken is the Chief Compliance Officer at Altrius Capital Management. Prior to Altrius, Ms. Aitken served as a Financial Specialist and Financial Center Manager with Wachovia for over three years. Ms. Aitken attended Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, MI.
Zachary Q. Smith, CFA
Mr. Smith is a Portfolio Manager at Altrius Capital Management. At Altrius, Mr. Smith is a member of the Investment Committee and is responsible for conducting fundamental research, security analysis, and portfolio monitoring. Prior to joining Altrius in 2011, Mr. Smith received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in finance from American University, and earned a Master of Science in Political Theory from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Anu Prabhu, CFA
Ms. Prabhu is a Portfolio Manager at Altrius Capital Management. She is a member of the Investment Committee and is responsible for conducting fundamental research, security analysis, and portfolio monitoring. Prior to joining Altrius, Ms. Prabhu was a Vice President at Wright Investors’ Service for 17 years where she was a member of the equity portfolio management team, helping manage US equity portfolios and researching stocks in different sectors. She was also involved in the quantitative research process at Wright. As a member of the Investment Committee, Ms. Prabhu was involved in the asset allocation process for client portfolios including monitoring macro-economic indicators and their impact on markets. Prior to Wright, Ms. Prabhu was an investment analyst for the private banking divisions at ICICI Bank, India, and BNP Paribas, India. Ms. Prabhu received a Bachelors in Accounting and Taxation, and Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Mumbai University. Ms. Prabhu is a CFA charter holder and a member of the CFA Society of New York.
Christopher C. Rolf, CFA
Executive Vice President
Mr. Rolf is an Executive Vice President at Altrius Capital Management. He is responsible for providing asset allocation and financial planning advice to the firm’s high net worth clients and is a member of the Investment Committee. Prior to joining Altrius in 2015, Mr. Rolf was a Vice President at Lenox Advisors for three years where he was a member of the firm’s Investment Committee, and advised clients on asset allocation, investment strategies and financial planning. Mr. Rolf spent five years at Morgan Stanley in their Private Wealth Management group. He also worked for Congressman Dave Camp in Washington D.C. Mr. Rolf graduated from the University of Michigan where he was a four-year letter winner and Captain on the Varsity Tennis Team. He received his MBA in Finance from Indiana University and is a CFA charter holder.
Gregory D. Kammerer, J.D.
Executive Vice President
Mr. Kammerer is an Executive Vice President at Altrius Capital Management. He is responsible for providing asset allocation and financial planning advice to the firm’s high net worth clients as well as providing investment solutions for institutional clients. Prior to joining Altrius, Mr. Kammerer was Sr. Vice President of Four Springs Capital Markets, where he worked with institutions, family offices and high net worth clients looking to add net lease real estate assets to their portfolio. Mr. Kammerer spent four years at MLG Capital, a mid-market real estate investment firm, sourcing acquisitions and raising capital for their private funds. He has also consulted for family offices and entrepreneurs looking for guidance accessing the private markets and performing strategic acquisitions. Mr. Kammerer graduated with honors from Monmouth University where he was a member of the Division I Track & Field Team. He earned his J.D. from Seton Hall Law School, where he received a full academic scholarship to attend.
Rita A. Hendrick-Smith
Director of Client Services
Ms. Hendrick-Smith is the Director of Client Services at Altrius Capital Management. She focuses on integrating private client advice, technology, finance and operations for the firm. Prior to joining Altrius in 2001, she spent seven years with the Federal Government and seventeen years with Eastman Kodak in varied customer-oriented positions including purchasing, accounts payable, credit/collections and leasing.
Joy G. Woods
Portfolio Administrator/ Compliance Manager
Ms. Woods is a Portfolio Administrator and Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) Compliance Manager with Altrius responsible for directing client service and compliance administration. Prior to joining Altrius in 2014, Ms. Woods worked as a Performance Specialist for eight years with Franklin Street Partners and as Team Leader in Trust Operations for seven years at SunTrust Bank. Ms. Woods received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master in Business Administration from Campbell University.
Rebecca A. Harmon
Ms. Harmon is a Trader and Analyst responsible for portfolio monitoring, rebalancing, account reconciliation, reporting and administration. Prior to joining Altrius in 2012, she spent two years as a team member with AmeriCorps Project Power and two years as an elementary education teacher. Ms. Harmon received a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Asheville and is currently working toward a Master of Public Affairs at Western Carolina University.
Director of Marketing
Mr. Greenberg is the Director of Marketing at Altrius Capital Management. He is responsible for implementing the firm’s brand strategy and campaigns as well as providing investment solutions for institutional clients. Prior to joining Altrius, he spent three years as a senior team member with State Farm as an Account Manager specializing in financial services. Mr. Greenberg received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina and is currently working towards his Financial Planning certification at Boston University.
Ms. Taylor is an Operations Analyst at Altrius Capital Management. At Altrius, Ms. Taylor is responsible for maintaining management systems while developing and implementing service initiatives for the firm’s private clients. Prior to joining Altrius in 2018, Ms. Taylor worked with Craven County Schools for eight years in various teaching positions. Ms. Taylor attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
